چکیده

Effwient (1.2% yield) multikilovolt x-ray emission from Ba(L) (2.4 2.8A) and Gal(L) (1.7 – 2.1~) is produced by ultraviolet (248nm) laser-excited BaFz and Gd soIids. The high efficiency is attributed to an inner shell-selective collisional electron ejection. @ 1999OpticalSocietyof America OCIS codes: (300.6560) Spectroscopy, x-ray; (140.7240) UV, XUV, and X-ray lasers.

Effect of Low–Level Helium-Neon Laser Irradiation on the Release of Interleukin 6 and Basic Fibroblast Growth Factor from Cultured Human Fibroblasts in High Glucose Medium

Purpose: Low level laser therapy is suggested as a new therapeutic method in diabetic wound healing. This survey aimed to evaluate the effects of low level laser on human fibroblasts cultured in high glucose cultures. Materials and Methods: The human skin fibroblasts were cultured under standard condition. The cells were cultured in high glucose culture medium (15mM/L) for a week and two weeks ...

Laser-produced MeV electrons and hard X-ray spectroscopic diagnostics

A new spectroscopic technique for the measurement of the sizes of hard X-ray sources produced by the irradiation of solid-density targets by intense laser radiation is discussed. The technique is based on the source broadening of K shell spectral lines from targets irradiated by intense picosecond laser pulses. The spectra are recorded by a modified Cauchois type spectrometer, where the detecto...

Investigation of laser-irradiated Ar cluster dynamics from K-shell x-ray emission measurements.

Intense (up to a few 10(17) W/ cm2) femtosecond (down to 40 fs) laser pulses are focused onto a partially clusterized argon gas jet. The target was previously characterized and optimized in order to get a homogeneous and dense jet of clusters with a well controlled size. The interaction leads to x-ray emission that is absolutely calibrated and spectrally resolved using a high resolution time-in...

2.B X-Ray Conversion Measurements from High-Z Spherical Targets

Quantitative measurements of the x-ray emission from laser-produced plasmas have been a subject of considerable interest since the early 1970s.l With the fabrication of large, in some cases multibeam, highpower laser systems, much work has been performed on the analysis of x-ray emission from laser-produced plasmas of high-atomic-number materiak2 Measurements of soft x-ray emission from the pla...

Multi-energy ion implantation from high-intensity laser

The dominant regime in most of experiments on ion acceleration from solid targets is the target normal sheath acceleration (TNSA). It is used in laser-matter interaction for laser intensities ranging approximately between 1016 and 1022 W/cm2 as reported in several publications [1, 2]. Several models and scaling laws have been suggested to predict the maximum ion energy of accelerated ions in th...
